This Easter season, the Antigua & Barbuda Progressive Society came together with one shared purpose — to support seniors in our Harlem community.
Thanks to the generosity of our members, friends, and supporters, we successfully prepared and delivered grocery bags to residents of two senior centers: Henry Brooks Senior Housing and Bethany Development Outreach Senior Housing.
💛 A Meaningful Delivery
The most powerful part of this initiative came during the delivery.
As we visited the senior centers, we were reminded that this effort was about more than food. It was about presence, connection, and community.
Smiles were shared. Conversations were had and in those moments, it was clear — this was something meaningful.

🤝 A Collective Effort
This initiative was made possible by:
Donors who contributed food and resources
Volunteers who gave their time and energy
Members who helped organize and support the effort
Our community partners, including Wegmans, whose continued support helped make this effort possible
Every role mattered. Every contribution counted.
🌱 Continuing the Work
For over 90 years, ABPS has remained committed to serving the community through meaningful initiatives like this one.
The Easter Food Drive is one example of what can happen when a community comes together with purpose.
And this is just the beginning.
