As part of our ABPS Easter Food Drive, we are working toward a meaningful goal:
to prepare and deliver 140 grocery bagsĀ to seniors living in two Harlem residences.
To help us meet this goal, we are asking our members, friends, and supporters to contribute non-perishable food itemsĀ that will be included in each bag.
This page provides a simple guide to what items you can donate.
š„« Suggested Grocery Items
We welcome all non-perishable items, and below are some of the most helpful staples:
Pantry Essentials
Rice
Pasta
Pasta sauce
Oatmeal
Breakfast cereal
Canned Goods
Canned vegetables
Canned beans
Canned soup
Canned tuna or chicken
Everyday Staples
Peanut butter
Crackers
Shelf-stable milk (boxed or powdered)
Tea bags
Instant coffee
š” A Simple Way to Think About It
If youāre unsure what to bring, consider building a small grocery bundle, such as:
1 grain (rice or pasta)
1 canned protein (beans or tuna)
1 canned vegetable
1 breakfast item (oatmeal or cereal)
Every combination helps us move closer to filling all 140 bags.
š Prefer to Make a Donation?
If donating food items is not convenient, you can still support the effort through a monetary contribution.
Funds will be used to purchase any remaining items needed to complete the grocery bags.
š Donation Deadline
To ensure we can organize and distribute the bags in time for Easter, we kindly ask that all donations be received by: March 25, 2026
Thank you for being part of this effort.
