As part of our ABPS Easter Food Drive, we are working toward a meaningful goal:

to prepare and deliver 140 grocery bagsĀ to seniors living in two Harlem residences.

To help us meet this goal, we are asking our members, friends, and supporters to contribute non-perishable food itemsĀ that will be included in each bag.

This page provides a simple guide to what items you can donate.

🄫 Suggested Grocery Items

We welcome all non-perishable items, and below are some of the most helpful staples:

Pantry Essentials

  • Rice

  • Pasta

  • Pasta sauce

  • Oatmeal

  • Breakfast cereal

Canned Goods

  • Canned vegetables

  • Canned beans

  • Canned soup

  • Canned tuna or chicken

Everyday Staples

  • Peanut butter

  • Crackers

  • Shelf-stable milk (boxed or powdered)

  • Tea bags

  • Instant coffee

šŸ’” A Simple Way to Think About It

If you’re unsure what to bring, consider building a small grocery bundle, such as:

  • 1 grain (rice or pasta)

  • 1 canned protein (beans or tuna)

  • 1 canned vegetable

  • 1 breakfast item (oatmeal or cereal)

Every combination helps us move closer to filling all 140 bags.

šŸ’› Prefer to Make a Donation?

If donating food items is not convenient, you can still support the effort through a monetary contribution.

Funds will be used to purchase any remaining items needed to complete the grocery bags.

šŸ“… Donation Deadline

To ensure we can organize and distribute the bags in time for Easter, we kindly ask that all donations be received by: March 25, 2026

Thank you for being part of this effort.
